Which means I probably wasn't body snatched by invaders.

Have you ever seen a floral bead on this blog?  Me either.   I'm not much of a floral bead maker.  Flowers are awesome, of course, and there are many glass workers who do them total justice.  I'm just not one of them.

I do love these little roses though, and when the original maker of them offered a tutorial last year I had to snag it...partly because they are awesome and partly because she was the one who forced me at gunpoint to make my first bead in 2002.  Ok, the gun wasn't actually pointed at me or maybe there was no gun.  Please stop paying attention to the wrong part of the story.

Yesterday I made rosebuds (and lentil florals which I'll share after I've dressed them in sets) which means when I opened the kiln this morning I had to walk back outside and make sure I was in the right place.  And then maybe I pinched myself to make sure I was still me.  It hurt, so I'm guessing I am.

UPDATED:  I have had several purchase inquiries about these, so yes they are available and the cost is $25 per pair (plus $2 shipping).  If you'd like to have the precious dangling from your ears EMAIL ME.
You can name your color as well, because y'all know I'm wearing some turquoise fleurs right now.

  1. I love making floral beads! Then again, they are probably way easier to make in polymer clay than they are in glass, so if I was a glass bead maker, I could think differently. Your rosebud beads turned out gorgeous! You should make a lot more of them. Maybe having a gun at your head, isn't such a bad thing?! ;-)

  6. That's so funny how we reject certain things, and never really try them. Way to go for branching out. Are you pleased?

  11. I had the same reaction when I saw these earrings on LE this morning. I had to scroll back up and look at your picture again - and then read your name again - and then look back at your picture. To - make - sure - it - was - you.
They're lovely, btw. I think you're onto something.
