M is for (Steel) Magnolias*, not Mucus.

Maybe that will help me retain at least a few readers in spite of my grody glandular overshare yesterday.  Sorry 'bout that, but The Kitteh mama was freaked out.

News on Sheba is that she butt danced across the carpet last night and the (not a candidate for stitches) wound opening that started out as 1/4" is now 1.5".  We landed back at the vet bright and early this morning where they admitted her for wound care and to monitor the fever that while down from yesterday had gone back up to 103.7.  Magically my regular vet's office turns into an ER vet 2 days a week, but in the interest of not overstating the obvious I won't tell y'all that those 2 days are Saturday and Sunday.   I'm hoping they'll have some dishes in the back that Sheba can wash when this is all over.

On the 20 minute drive over I recorded a voice memo on my cell phone of the conversation she had with me, but I am either a total technotard or there is no way to transfer that here.  (If you know how, help me out~ it's hilarious)  Think James Earl Jones' baritone saying the word OOOOOUT! over and over and overandoverandoverandover again because the sweet kitty version of MEYOUT? repeated only twice failed to release her from her carrier Hell.

They're like...one.

*I love her more than my luggage, but you just know she thinks I am evil and must be destroyed.

  5. oh yuck. never heard of a cat having that happen.
my little kali had her face explode on one side from a bad tooth. never heard of a cat doing that either. totally freaked when i came home to blood in every room.
i think they should stay in the hospital until healed, course I could not afford to board her in the hospital until healed as she is still healing a month later.
sending kitty hugs and hope she get better FAST.

  8. You are DANG funny!! I know that most painful howl they emit from the time you capture them in the crate until you let them out! God it is heartbreaking. You made it all seem hilarious. Hope she heals up ok. Wish they would cooperate a little more with our efforts to help. PS Great photo fudge!!
