November 12, 2012

I think I'll start by making the world's ugliest necklace for next year's Land of Odds Ugly Necklace competition.

I've joked before about giving up making beads, and what I now understand is that those dips into the idea were actually baby steps toward its actual happening.   I've been blessed with a decade long run of self employment doing something I enjoy, but the time has come to focus my creative energy elsewhere.

I'll still be here, full of my crazy, writing and sharing my jewelry designs.  I'll continue to make beads for my own designs and for a couple of my wholesale accounts, but there will be no more Julsbeads available for public consumption when my current inventory is sold out.

I want to thank each of you for supporting my work through the years.  You've made a huge difference in my life, and I appreciate y'all more than you know.

I'm having one last sale on my beads.   Starting today you can take 25% off your entire order at Studiojuls.

The sale will run through the end of the month or until they are gone, whichever comes first.  When something sells out, it will not be remade.

At checkout use Coupon Code:  CO25

It's been a wonderful experience watching my art beads turned into beautiful jewelry by such incredibly talented hands.  You bless the world with the sharing of your creative souls.

I love y'all, every single one.
Juls

  1. Oh, Miss Juls! This makes my heart a bit sad today. I hope that it means that a new creative pathway is opening for you. It also means that I will be treasuring the Julsbeads in my hoard, er, collection. It will also make it harder than ever for me to part with them! I wish you all the best on this next chapter you are writing for yourself. Enjoy the day. Erin

  5. My first thought... are you ok with your decision?? I so hope so... and I am sad for me, and all of the other beady artists, as we will miss your beads terribly - thank goodness I have *just a few* of them!! Write me if you need to - and I am praying this is for the good and for your best... xxxxx

  6. How do I say this. If this is what truly makes you happy then yes I support you and will be here for you as always. There are no other beads that evoke the love and spirit that you put into yours and they will be missed by us all. I treasure each one of the ones I have and have been gifted and will continue to keep them close to me. I am glad you will still share you with us no matter what you make or do! All my love to you sista!

  7. Purely selfish reaction = NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Persona that cares about your happiness and well-being reaction = Go forth and conquer!

Hoping my bank account fills up before the stock is all gone. I need more JulsBeads.

  8. I am happy for you if this is truly what you want to do....... And I hope what ever creative things you have planned for you and your future make you happy! Like all the others I am sad this is the end of Juls Beads, cause you know I love your work, and I have a large stash of your beads to prove it! I just wish I had some spare money to get me some more, but I'll just have to continue hoarding the ones I have! I have kept every thing for myself that I have made with your beads, and it looks like I will continue to do that with what ever I make with the rest of them! I'm glad you will continue sharing your self with us on your blog, because I have enjoyed getting to know you through your blog posts !

  10. I'm sending that love right back to you! One of the joys of joining the beady community is the new friendships. I treasure ours and always will (who gives a damn about politics anyway). Love you, sista!

  11. Hi Juli,
I wish you all the best, cause I know that whatever you do in your life you are going to soar high. As far as the ugly necklace I think you will have to try really hard to accomplish that one!
    Love and hugs,
    Therese

  13. This makes me sad as your beads were the first ones I collected. The ones I have left are going to be hoarded. Good luck on your road.
