Lori: (noun) Fabulous Hostest with the Mostest.

Remember THIS fun thing?  This is day 1 of the unveiling in round 2, so grab a cuppa and be sure to visit the links below to find today's excellent artists.

My soup came from the superfly KJ of Silver Parrot.  I will be creating with this stash for a while!

So Round 2.  I have to admit that time got away from me this go 'round and I was up all night
playing with beads.  Well, not all night.  Half the night? Ok Fine.  It was only a few hours.   Dang, you're good.

It actually wasn't so much a matter of not having the time to work on it and more a matter of where am I going with this?  I've had this focal laying on a bead tray with various other beads in various design schemes for 2 weeks, but the only thing jiving was my inner child shaking her head to the beat of a song called Uh Uh, that's not iiiiiii iiiit.

Yesterday I was packaging some lampwork and noticed this focal peeking out from the bottom of the pile, and that's when the proverbial light bulb exploded creating a new universe.  Literally.  I had been looking at this fantastic raku pendant as a flower, but seeing the planetary glass piece made me realize it is way more of a sunburst.

Ra'Ni

The glass focal has raised surface dots all the way around it.  I should say had, because after I introduced it to the Diamond Max one side and the edges are smooth as buttah.

The pieces came together perfectly creating for me an alien planet drawn to its sun

in a parallel universe colored with its own spice of life.

I gave her matching earrings

so she would have constellations in the sky.

  5. Are you freakin' kidding me? You are OUT OF THIS WORLD! Literally! I am blown away by how you wrangle seed beads (they terrorize me...no, really, I think they sneak into my bead at night and make it uncomfortable, like the princess and the pea). That is absolutely one of the most creative renderings of soup that I have seen yet.
I love the way your lightbulbs work.
    Enjoy the day, my friend!
