Focusing on Life ~ Monochromatic

I started this week's Focusing on Life assignment thinking
I would manipulate a few photos of the many awesome vistas
I was fortunate to capture in Oregon last year.
While sifting through folders I discovered these already
monochromatic snapshots and was stopped dead in my tracks.
Y'all will very likely find them boring and this post one of vanity,
but they tell me a story about the last almost 7 years of my life
that my 35 year old self must have planned for when she decided
to begin documenting with a self portrait at least once a year.

The first isn't a self portrait, but it represents the me that I am
and will always be more effectively than a photograph ever has.
Ironically it was taken by a complete stranger.

  1. Juli, what a fantastic idea, to post your portraits over the years. I can see your playful spirit in each picture. And I have to say you have such beautiful eyes!! Be sure to catch the coming years too - life after 41 is great (and I know from experience)! :-)
