  4. Our ocean really pounds the shore in the winter! It truly is an amazing state where you can be at the coast in 1-2 hours and to the snow in 1-3 hours.

  5. When I lived in Washington State we used to travel down the Oregon coast and camp. The best place was a surfer beach just north of Canon Beach where there were only 15 first come first serve tent sites nestled in the woods just 1/4 mile from the beach front where you were allowed to build campfires. We managed to get a site one time, and we kept it for 2 estra days it was so fabulous- great memories! The rest of our attempts we had to keep driving. The scenery is incredible and the tide pools are amazing!! The water is VERY cold though.

  6. I have wanted to move to Oregon for three years now. It's not happening for me for various poopy reasons, so I hope to live there vicariously through you! It's paradise, as far as I'm concerned.

  9. Waving like mad from Seattle, welcoming you to this end of the country. For sheer natural beauty, I think you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere that beats the Pacific Northwest.

  10. Isn't it gorgeous. The Oregon coast is one of favorite places in the world. My grandparents owned a beach house in Cannon Beach so I grew up spending my summers there.
