Especially if you say it 152 times in 5 minutes.

I've been pondering what it is about making this style of necklace that appeals so much to me, and all I can come up with is that I could maybe possibly be an assymetrically balanced masochist.

But I like 'em.   I like the story they tell as they take shape.  I like the subtlety of the leather cord paired with the bold statement of the artwork.  I like the way they feel and I especially like the option of wearing the clasp in front or in back.  Some days are fun and whocaresifmyprettydanglesareinfront! and some days are not and GAHmyclaspisinfront.
See?  Balance.

"Explore" is one of Erin's wonderful ceramic pieces. In case you didn't know, I lerve Erin's wonderful ceramic pieces. Because they are wonderful. The big funky spiral bead is one that Jen gave me, and since it is also wonderful it fit right in with the other wonderful.  Isn't that wonderful?

Wonderful.  Won Der Ful.  WonderfulWonderfulWonderful
What an odd sounding word.

  9. Your jewelry is stunning. I wanna know how long it takes you to make a piece like that. I also love seed beads and it takes me forever to make stuff. Seems like everyone else can do it faster. . .

  11. @Everyone, Thanks so much for the feedback. It is very heartening to know other artists dig what I'm doing. <3 Much love to y'all <3

@Lisa, the actual beadwork doesn't take as long as the contemplation. Sometimes a piece is finished in a few hours, and sometimes it lays on my table for a few days.

@Marie, I hope your granddaughter is well super soon!

  12. Loves it, Juls! I really love the earthy feel it has. It really does give me the feeling of exploring some kind of exotic terrain with the asymmetrical elements. Love the spiral bead! It really sets the piece off! Thank you for using my work in your beautiful creations!
