Alternate Post Title:
Some Ugly Ass Beads and 2 Pretty Ones
There are a couple of important questions you should ask yourself before proceeding. Do you like Lampwork? Can you see the beauty in an ugly ass bead (UAB)?
If you answered no to either, then reading this post is going to waste valuable minutes of your day. Minutes you could spend making me some lasagna.
If you answered yes to both, then you just might want to keep reading. This week's GGG is ... Well, a pile of UAB's. Sometimes what comes out of my kiln shouldn't. Even if I did put it in there.
These poor unfortunate babies have no faults, save for their hideousness. Most I would never consider selling, but that doesn't mean I can't give 'em away. That is if anyone takes pity enough to claim them. I did toss in a couple of pretties if that helps. I'm not trying to pressure you or anything. Really. It isn't like they have feelings. That sniffling you hear is probably just the TV.
If you do find it in your heart to risk actually receiving them, then you might be a little crazy. Which means I like you best and you should come over later for some of that lasagna.
Rules?

Hi Juls!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou cannot make a UAB! I would be proud to own any of your creations!!! :) Your "bad" beads beat my great beads any day of the week! Thank you for all of your inspiration! Cheers! Joan:)
Don't forget--"beauty is in the eye of the beholder" which is good for a lot of us. Saves on paper bags! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean ugly? I wish I could make beads like that.
ReplyDeleteAloha,
Maren
Holy frit! I wish my UAB's looked that GREAT!!
ReplyDeleteI can't find the ugly beads. Did you hide them?
ReplyDeletePoor, poor little beadies! If Juls does not love you, you can come live with me. I have a whole bowl of UAB's you can hang out with.
ReplyDeleteI keep saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. UAB is usually in the eye of the maker. When our beads do not match what we see mentally, then we think we have UABs. Others do not see our mental pictures, and can see beauty where we can not.
ReplyDeletelittle UAB you can come home and visit my UAclayB
ReplyDeleteI am sorry, but those are not UABs.
ReplyDeleteOK, Juls! I'm looking at the photo for the UABs - did you post the right photo?? :)
ReplyDeletehey UAB need love too!
ReplyDeleteI have never met a lampwork bead that didn't have some potential in jewelry...just takes the right "eye".
