It seems FB, Twitter, and Instagram have taken over lives. I thought I'd maybe stroll over here and see if this thing still works, or if I would be writing only to myself. Which is totally fine and would fit perfectly with all the conversations of the same nature.
That glass thing?
I still do it.
What are YOU up to?
~~
I hear you about the Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest taking over instead of blogging. I still stalk your beads on Facebook though :)
ReplyDeleteAgain, I tell myself I will get back into the blogging this year - even if no one reads it - this is an outlet for me. Mom and I hope to get back into the creation front - just have not had the motivation to do it. So, new year, new creations (hopefully).
I've been stalking your fitness on FB~ you are totally rockin' it! I hope y'all do jump back into creating~ I so love your metal pieces. I still have my hand sitting on my desk holding my biz cards. :)
DeleteI miss you writing on this blog. I read blogs over social media. I'm still "old school"... Ha, ha. Who thought blogs would be "old school" so quickly after they started. These bead sets are beautiful. I've had to hang up my torch while I rent. I'm hoping to buy a house later these year or next year so I can have my studio again. I miss glass!
ReplyDeleteI so hear you...FB gets the majority of my online time because that's where I make my money...but I am totes Old School right there with you. Why do we need so many connect spots? Ain't nobody got time for that!
DeleteGood luck on getting into a house and back to glass. :)
I still like reading blogs. I don't "do" facebook or twitter (or others), so I know I'm missing out on lots of good stuff. I guess I'm old school too (like Jenn). I miss your funny sense of humor. If you get back to blogging, I promise I'll be here, reading!
ReplyDeleteI've been mostly hoarding all my Julsbeads for a while now. But I'm still making jewelry. The only real "new" thing for me is a diet - I lost 30 lbs so far!
Have a great 2016 Juls!
FB is a total time suck. I have found myself sitting and reading for HOURS that could have been spent doing much more productive and/or fun things. It is a necessary evil though, because that's where I sell now. One trunk show a month ~ 2 days of exhaustive fun pays the bills. It is good to know there are still awesome folks in Blogland though. I have been tossing around the writing of a book but I am a bit rusty in using my words and could use some practice here. :)
DeleteGood to see you here! I've missed your humor and the regular jaw-drop I'd get whenever you post photos of your latest creations.
ReplyDeleteWhat's new? In the past week, I've actually busted out the beadweaving and made two necklaces. If I keep up this pace, I'll surpass last year's productivity by the end of this month. Last year was rough for finding time to be creative -- hope this year is better!
Oh, and how about that football game last night? Roll Tide and Rammer Jammer!
Thanks for that, Bobbie~ being missed made me smile. :)
DeleteI haven't made jewelry in so long I might have forgotten how. Still working on my bead embroidered crosses though. I'm glad you finding time to create!
Roll Tide, Girlfriend! That was a heckuva game!
Glad you are still doing the "glass things"!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Robbie! :)
