I've made a concerted effort since starting my 30 days of fun to go ahead and brave the heat. Mostly because I love being outside, but partly because I had gotten so pale I could barely see my reflection in a mirror.
Yesterday I had lunch with my brother and then opened the sunroof, rolled down the windows, and took the scenic route through the country home. Read that as AHalfTankofGasGone.
Totally. Worth. It.

I'm with you Juls, it is hot here. I sometimes get that whim to ride in the country. Alabama has some pretty country roads, and all the twists and turns make them a lot of fun to drive. Glad you enjoyed your day with your Brother and the ride in the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteTherese
has it only been a week of fun..seems like more..did you get a sun blush?
ReplyDeleteGorgeousness, you are - I'm so glad you've found a smile!
ReplyDeleteAlthough it's not as hot here as where you are, it IS in the 90's...and I've had no AC for the last 3 days and after two visits from the repairman...it's still not fixed. He can't come back until Monday so I get to spend the weekend simmering in my own stew. Fun.
ReplyDeleteThere is NOTHING like opening up the sunroof and lettin' yo hairz blow in the sunshiney wind as you go absosmurfly nowhere!! Glad you enjoyed it!! (I'm just gonna go ahead and take for granted that you DID have the muzaks blaring thru the speakers, because that is a requirement...but you already know that! LOL)
ReplyDeleteHey it is only gas and the fun you had is well worth it. Ohhh 90's how I would love a hot summer.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend
