Last month I was inspired to create the Sands of Time series and almost immediately I realized how awesome the design would be on a lentil. I thought the shapely curves of a lentil paired with the textural detail of the series would result in a beautiful combination, so I invested in a focal sized lentil press. It was a good call. They are beautiful.

Stunning, actually.
I've never really been a fan of using presses in my glass work. Aside from the fact that they are a pain to use, they make me feel more like a production line and less like I am creating. Add to that the fact that I am not different just like everybody else, and what you end up with is me doing it the hard way and using a marver and gravity to achieve whatever shape I am working toward. Sometimes with success, sometimes not.

I hear ya on the presses thing. I have a few and hardly ever use them anymore - too frustrating - but your lentils are great. You're right, they' provide a perfect surface for your beautiful decoration.
