They're so good I'm considering driving over and smackin' my mama for not making them every single night throughout my childhood.
Oven Roasted (fresh) Brussel Sprouts
Cut ends off
Toss lightly in Olive Oil
Sprinkle generously with sea salt
Ditto with pepper
Roast at 400 degrees
for approx 30 mins
shaking pan occasionally
to turn sprouts~
Eat and enjoy

It looks and sounds delicious. I will roast my next batch of Brussell sprouts. Wishing you well, hope you are able to find another job you like soon.
ReplyDeleteI.Love.Brussel.Sprouts! So much!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely my favorite way to cook broccoli, so I can imagine it's awesome with sprouts. I'm definitely going to try it soon!
ReplyDeleteI love them!! I do them on the stove, put the fresh brussel sprouts in a pan with some water and kind of steam themtill the water boils down, then add olive oil, garlic salt and pepper and roast them. Delish!!
ReplyDeleteBrussel Sprouts!!!! Aghhhhhhhhhh! I'm so glad that someone likes them. Recipes sounds great except for the Brussel Sprouts!!! Glad you liked the bowl.
ReplyDeleteBut you forgot to add chopped or minced fresh garlic when you bake them!! I bake all my veggies (try cauiflower and green beans - cook the same way!). They are the best!!
ReplyDeleteThis is similar to my grilled Brussels sprouts. I follow similar steps, but cut in quarters and toss on the grill. Juls, you should also check out the Kale Chips over at Shutterbean - http://www.shutterbean.com/kalechips/
ReplyDeleteJuls - that is such a pretty shade of green in your brussel sprouts - I think you should make some beads in that shade of green!!!! =) Brussel sprout inspired beads!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!! My favorite food group!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Robbie though. Everything is better with garlic. I do believe my love of garlic comes from my childhood. Living in Southern Idaho, we used to spend each summer at "logging camp". I was maybe 7 or 8 and a guy in camp named Curly (shaved bald by the way)used to feed us raw garlic every time we would see him. My sister, brother and I LOVED it but it used to really p**s off my mother. LOL! I think that's why he did it☺
Not sure why I felt like sharing that, it just popped into my head and there ya go:~)
mmmm, roasted sprouts...one of my faves! I toss them in balsamic vinegar before roasting too :)
ReplyDeleteI hated brussels as a kid, I'm happily making up for that now I am a big grown up girl. I am a grown up. Really.
ReplyDeleteLove brussels!!! Why aren't you doing OWOH. I thought sure you would.
