Copper Rings

Karen of KLH Designs offered a challenge on LE and being a huge copper fan I signed up.  She very generously sent copper rings to all of the participants requesting only that we create a piece of jewelry. 

Today I used a few of mine to make earrings.  Did you know that you can't simply beat the heck out of metal with a hammer and expect to achieve any kind of desirable result?  Because I didn't.  I haven't worked much with wire and hammering and such mostly because I'd prefer to keep my thumbs 3 dimensional.  I have to say I'm learning quite a bit.  Thanks, Karen!
